Secondary Teacher of Religious Education (RE) - Canterbury
Are you enthusiastic about Religious Education and passionate about inspiring students to explore different beliefs and cultures?
Academics, Canterbury are currently working with a lovely, inclusive secondary school in Canterbury who are seeking an RE Teacher to start in January 2026.
We are open to both full-time and part-time candidates who are dedicated to educating and nurturing students in the field of Religious Education.
Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons for secondary school students
* Explore various religious traditions and beliefs while encouraging critical thinking and respect for diverse perspectives
* Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with national standards
* Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive learning environment within the school community
* Organize and participate in extracurricular activities related to Religious Education
Requirements:
* Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a focus on Religious Education or related field
* Passion for teaching and promoting understanding of diverse religious beliefs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with different learning styles
* Previous experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary school level is desirable
* Commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect within the school environment
