The Role - Teacher (SEN Specialist)

As the class Teacher, you will:

* Lead a small group of non-verbal students with significant learning needs

* Deliver creative, sensory-based, and communication-focused SEN teaching

* Use AAC, PECS, Makaton, sensory regulation strategies, and structured routines

* Work closely with therapists, SEN specialists, and experienced support staff

* Create a nurturing, predictable environment tailored to the needs of each learner

* Support communication, emotional development, engagement, and independence

Ideal Candidate

* Experience working with SEN, especially non-verbal or PMLD students (strongly preferred)

* A calm, patient approach with a passion for inclusive, child-centred learning

* QTS or equivalent qualification

* Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, sensory integration, and communication methods

* Commitment to supporting pupils with autism, complex learning needs, or profound communication barriers
