Teaching Assistant - KS1 (Education and Training): Walsall

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant - KS1 to provide support for a small class at a welcoming primary school in Walsall. The school has a nurturing ethos and a strong commitment to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.

This is a full-time Teaching Assistant - KS1 role, Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 15:30, starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

* Provide support to a group of children, following individual learning and behaviour support plans.

* Support the children's participation in classroom activities, ensuring they are included and engaged in their learning.

* Assist with the development of communication, social and self-help skills.

* Provide feedback on progress and challenges to staff and contribute to review meetings.

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant - KS1 or working with children with SEN in an education and training role is essential.

* Experience in Early Years and/or KS1 settings is highly desirable.

* Patient, resilient, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

* Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently when required.

* A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one.
