Year 3 Teaching Assistant - Primary School near Caldicot
Academics, a trusted and well-established education recruitment agency, is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the Caldicot area to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for a Year 3 class. We specialise in connecting passionate education professionals with schools where they can truly make a difference.
This full-time, temporary position is ideal for someone who is passionate about working within Key Stage 2 and is committed to helping children reach their full potential through supportive and engaging classroom practice.
Your Role in Year 3:
* Assist Year 3 pupils in accessing learning activities across the curriculum
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and planned interventions
* Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and boost understanding
* Help create a calm, positive, and productive classroom environment
* Provide day-to-day classroom assistance across a range of tasks
What You'll Need:
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* Experience working with children, ideally in a school environment
* A good understanding of primary education, particularly Year 3 / Key Stage 2
* Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English
* A supportive, patient, and proactive approach to working with children
* The ability to follow direction and work effectively within a team
