Are you passionate about supporting children with SEND needs? Do you have experience working with children with challenging behaviour?
I have a very welcoming mainstream primary school based in East Leeds looking for an experienced teaching assistant to join their team after half term.
The Role:
As s teaching assistant you will be working closely with the class teacher in year 4 and the SEND team to support the pupil with behavioural challenges on a 1 to 1 basis. You will be expected to help the pupil engage positively with learning and school life.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the pupil with behaviour as well as emotional needs
To implement the school behaviour policies and strategies under the guide of the SENDCO
Maintaining a safe and positive environment at all times
Assisting the classroom as a teaching assistant wherever needed
Building relationships with the pupil as well as staff members and parents
The ideal teaching assistant will have experience supporting children with SEND and behaviour needs and will have a positive, calm approach. You will be adaptable and be able to supports the needs of individuals.
The position is to commence after May half term until the end of December 2025 (with the potential of a direct contract).
