Teaching Assistants Needed in Newport - Starting After Half Term, November 3rd 2025
Academics is a trusted education recruitment agency with strong, long-standing partnerships across primary and secondary schools in Newport. We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to join schools starting after half term on November 3rd, 2025, supporting a variety of roles including general classroom assistance, 1:1 intervention, and SEN provision.
Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant or eager to gain experience in education, we'd love to hear from you!
Roles Available:
* General classroom support across Early Years, KS1, and KS2
* 1:1 support for pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
* Small group interventions for literacy and numeracy
* Behaviour support and pastoral care
Minimum Requirements:
* At least 6 months' experience working with children or young people
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Academics)
* Relevant qualifications or training in childcare, education, or SEN support (desirable)
* A positive, proactive, and reliable approach to supporting pupils and staff
