Teaching Assistant - Wolverhampton

We are currently looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant, who is passionate about supporting young children with Special Educational Needs. This school is based in the centre of Wolverhampton, making it easy to commute to via car or public transport. They have a strong SEN team who are able to support you with your development in Education and Training as a Teaching Assistant. You will be working with a key pupil who has ASD and SEMH, so the successful candidate will have a calm and nurturing approach.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for:
* Working alongside the class teacher to provide tailored support to specific children.
* Collaborating with the SENCO to follow the pupil's EHCP.
* Conducting play therapy sessions as instructed by Educational Psychologists.
* Safeguarding all children in the school and creative a positive learning environment for pupils and staff.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children with SEN in an education and training based setting
* A passion for working with children
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Valid DBS registered to the update service
