Year 3 Teaching Assistant - Westminster (Long-Term Role)

Academics are currently supporting a primary school in Westminster that is seeking an experienced Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team for the Summer Term (April 2026 - July 2026).

This welcoming and supportive school is committed to developing independence in all learners and promotes a positive, encouraging attitude towards learning. Their curriculum is broad and engaging, allowing pupils to develop academically, socially, and personally.

Role Details

* Location: Primary school in Westminster

* Start Date: March 2026 (Long term contract)

* Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

* Pay: £95-£97 per day (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities

* Working alongside the class teacher to provide general classroom support where required.

* Assisting the class teacher in adapting classroom activities and resources to meet the needs of all learners.

* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups when required.

* Helping pupils develop key academic and social skills while encouraging active participation in learning.

* Supporting the management of behaviour and promoting positive engagement in lessons.

* Delivering small group interventions and supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEND.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

* Have previous experience working with children in a UK primary school or educational setting (supported by references).

* Have strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and engage pupils in both 1:1 and small group settings.

* Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills, particularly within Key Stage 2.

* Possess good literacy and numeracy skills.

* Be familiar with the UK National Curriculum.

* Hold a current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new Enhanced DBS through us (cost applied).
