The Role

This is a general classroom-based Teaching Assistant position, supporting teaching staff across a range of subjects and year groups to ensure high-quality learning experiences for all pupils. The role will include some additional support for pupils with mild or emerging SEND needs as part of inclusive classroom practice.

* Supporting teachers in the delivery of high-quality lessons across the classroom

* Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and promote pupil progress

* Assisting with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and maintaining a positive learning environment

* Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and independence in learning

* Providing light support for pupils with additional needs, under the guidance of teaching and SEN staff

* Supporting behaviour management strategies in line with school policy

* Helping to monitor pupil progress and feeding back observations to teaching staff

Candidate Profile

Essential:

* Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to support learning effectively in a classroom environment

* A proactive, positive, and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning

* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)

* Able to commute to Potters Bar
