Are you a hands-on Test Technician and enjoy fixing things? Do you have a keen interest in engineering, mechanics or technical repair, whether through work experience, college or even personal projects at home? If so, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Impact Recruitment are currently working with a well-established business based in Northants (NN6 area) who are looking to recruit a Test Technician to join their Service Centre team on a permanent basis. This is a varied, technical, and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with tools, diagnosing faults and restoring products to a high standard.

Location: Northants (NN6)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: £27,500 - £30,000 per annum (DOE)

Contract: Permanent

Duties:

* Processing customer returns accurately and efficiently

* Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on returned equipment

* Reconditioning products for reuse or recycling

* Liaising with suppliers regarding warranty and non-warranty items

* Preparing quotations and assessing repair viability

* Supporting new product launches through testing and quality checks

* Communicating with customers via email and telephone regarding technical queries

* Maintaining accurate records and internal documentation

* Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times

* Assisting with manual handling using pallet trucks and other handling equipment

The ideal candidate:

* Is good with their hands and confident using tools

* Has a natural interest in fixing, building or repairing things

* May have completed a college course in engineering, mechanics, electronics or similar (not essential)

* Could come from a workshop, production, mechanical, electrical or technical background (preferred but not essential)

* Is reliable, well organised and has strong attention to detail

* Has a positive, "can-do" attitude and is willing to learn

* Is comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
