Job Title: Town Planner/Senior Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established boutique Town Planning consultancy in the search for an experienced Senior Planner / Planning Consultant to join their growing team.

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious planner looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and flexible consultancy environment. The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of planning projects and will take responsibility for:
* Managing planning applications from inception through to determination
* Preparing and submitting detailed planning reports and supporting documentation
* Conducting site appraisals and feasibility assessments
* Providing expert advice on planning policy, legislation, and development strategy
* Liaising with clients, local authorities, consultants, and key stakeholders
* Supporting the delivery of successful planning outcomes across a variety of sectors
The role is based in Kirkham and offers hybrid working flexibility.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
* Strong knowledge of UK planning regulations, policy, and legislation
* Experience preparing planning applications and reports
* Excellent project management and organisational skills
* Strong written and verbal communication abilities with a client-focused approach
* Experience engaging with local authorities and stakeholders
* A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related discipline
* RTPI membership or working towards chartership is desirable
* A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
* Experience using planning software and relevant industry tools would be advantageous
