We are working on behalf of a well-established and design-led planning consultancy that's known for delivering high-quality, commercially astute planning advice across the UK. With offices nationwide and a strong portfolio of residential, mixed-use, and strategic land projects, this firm blends policy expertise with a collaborative, client-focused approach. Due to sustained growth, they are now looking to appoint a Town Planner to join their dynamic London team.
The Role
You'll be part of a friendly, multidisciplinary team supporting clients through all stages of the planning process. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse project pipeline-from large-scale urban extensions and regeneration schemes to sensitive greenfield developments-alongside some of the most respected professionals in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications and appeals
* Conduct site appraisals and planning research
* Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
* Contribute to the preparation of planning strategies and promotional work
* Support senior team members on larger schemes, while developing your own client base
Requirements:
* RTPI-accredited degree (or equivalent)
* Working towards (or recently achieved) MRTPI status
* 1-4 years' experience in a planning consultancy or local authority
* Strong report writing, communication, and project management skills
* Passion for planning, with a proactive and client-focused attitude
