Location: Birmingham

Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading global real estate consultancy in the search for a Planner to join their successful Birmingham-based Planning team.

This award-winning client has a strong presence across the UK and internationally, providing expert advice across residential, commercial, retail, leisure, and mixed-use sectors. Their Planning team is growing, and they are now seeking a talented Planner who is looking to take the next step in their career within a collaborative and high-performing environment.

As a Planner, you'll work closely with a range of stakeholders including partners, associates, clients, and local authorities. You'll have the opportunity to lead and support on a diverse portfolio of planning applications, site promotions, policy representations, and appeals. This Planner role will suit someone who is commercially aware, client-focused, and keen to be part of a business that values innovation and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver commercially focused and technically sound planning advice to clients

*

Prepare, submit, and manage a wide range of planning applications

*

Support in the delivery of planning appeals and representations to policy documents

*

Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and project teams

*

Contribute to team targets, client development, and overall project success

Requirements:

*

A degree in town planning or a related subject

*

MRTPI qualified or working towards chartered status

*

Strong understanding of the UK planning system

*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*

Confident working independently and as part of a team
