An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Traffic Controller / Banksman to join AMCO's Transport department in Redditch.

We work across a wide range of industries, including electronics, food and industrial, with specialist expertise in automotive parts logistics and close working relationships with luxury vehicle manufacturers.
The Role
As a Key member of the Transport Compliance & Legal Team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Compliance, in ensuring effective and accurate compliance and maintenance of the vehicles on a daily basis and ensuring fleet and driver compliance is up to date at all times.
Responsible for:
Fleet & Vehicle Management
* Planning and booking of vehicle maintenance
* Support Vehicle maintenance & control, costs
* Support Maintenance records - tracking & upkeep
* Support with Supplier management and audits
* Support Temporary vehicle control (inc. Insurance notification)
* Trailer inspection & condition control
* Gatehouse checks & Cab cleanliness & vehicle condition control
* New damage & vehicle defect form control
Transport Administration & Driver Management
* VDU head download & record upkeep
* Support Driver infringement control
* Attendance of meetings
* Support Accident management where applicable
* Web fleet KPIs, Fuel tracker, Vehicle Mileage
* Accident investigations & Insurance
Training & Development
* Support digitalisation of transport admin
* Agency & Driver inductions & Training
* Driver Assessments and LST training.
Other duties include:
* General assistance to the Transport office team
* Weekend and out of hours support where applicable
* Issuing ad hoc 'Agency Driver Declaration Forms'
* Checking drivers' licenses and CPC
* Driver briefing and debriefing - in accordance with the Briefing/Debriefing Compliance Record
* Cover for holidays when required Hours are 40 per week Monday to Friday 08.30am - 17.00pm. Weekends may be required at times plus any reasonable requirements associated with the position
Personal Competencies:
* Managers CPC desirable but not essential
* HGV license
* Driver assessor qualified but not essential
* Must have a good level of English and Maths
* Must be computer literate including MS Office, email, spreadsheets and transport databases
* Self-managing with good attention to detail
* Methodical and thorough approach to work
* Highly organised with the ability to remain focused under pressure
* Ability to multi-task and juggle priorities to meet requirements
* Ability to adhere to processes
* Must have a 'Can Do Attitude' and a desire to improve
* Flexible - a "team player"
