Location: Stratford upon Avon
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-regarded multi-service development consultancy in their search for a Principal Planner to join their thriving Stratford upon Avon team.
This consultancy has rapidly expanded in the region and delivers a full range of services-spanning strategic planning, design strategy, heritage, architecture, and economic development-with a collaborative, expert-driven approach.
Role Overview
As a Principal Planner, you will:

Lead multi-disciplinary project work, offering strategic land promotion and securing planning permissions
*
Develop and deliver project feasibility advice, application management, and policy representations
*
Mentor and guide junior planners, contributing to their professional growth
*
Engage with an array of stakeholders including developers, local authorities, landowners, and community representatives
*
Actively lead on urban regeneration, development audits, strategic site allocation, and masterplanning initiatives
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring:

Chartered RTPI status and substantial post-qualification experience
*
Proven experience delivering large-scale residential or commercial developments
*
Exceptional technical and strategic planning expertise
*
Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to coordinate cross-disciplinary teams
*
A confident and proactive approach to client development and fee generation
