The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Electrical Technician to join a busy facilities maintenance team working across a prestigious rail contract. This role involves carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across railway stations and associated buildings throughout the South East.

A company van is provided, so a full UK driving licence is essential. Successful candidates will also be required to pass a medical assessment and complete training to obtain a PTS (Personal Track Safety) Sentinel Card if they do not already hold one.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works.

- Ensure all work is completed safely, following method statements, risk assessments and current health & safety legislation.

- Deliver maintenance works within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).

- Maintain buildings and facilities to a high standard through a proactive maintenance approach.

- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and site teams through excellent customer service.

- Keep all site documentation accurate and up to date for internal and external audits.

- Update the client's CAFM system with accurate maintenance records.

- Carry out electrical installation and maintenance work in accordance with current BS7671 Wiring Regulations and industry standards.

- Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical and construction safety regulations.

Working Hours

- 40 hours per week

- Monday to Friday

- 1 in 6 on-call rota with additional on-call allowance

Essential

- Full UK Driving Licence

- 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382 or equivalent)

- City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent electrical qualification)

Desirable

- Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship

- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing

- Personal Track Safety (PTS)

- IOSH Working or Managing Safely

- Experience with Permit to Work (PTW) and RAMS

- L8 Training
