Water Hygiene Engineer

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent | 37.5 hours per week + Overtime Available

A growing and reputable water treatment company is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to join its London-based team. The business delivers specialist water hygiene and compliance services across commercial, healthcare, and public sector sites throughout the region.

This Water Hygiene Engineer role would suit an individual with previous industry or plumbing experience who is looking to develop their technical skills within a company that values training, progression, and employee wellbeing.

The successful Water Hygiene Engineer will carry out a wide range of planned and reactive duties to ensure client water systems remain compliant with current industry legislation and safety standards.

Key Duties

* Completing water hygiene duties across a range of commercial client sites

* Conducting temperature monitoring, flushing programmes, and water sampling

* Servicing TMVs and carrying out minor remedial plumbing works

* Cleaning and disinfecting cold water storage tanks and calorifiers

* Completing showerhead descales and disinfection services

* Maintaining accurate service records and compliance documentation

* Ensuring all work is carried out in line with ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM 04-01, and WRAS regulations

Requirements

* Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer or within a similar plumbing-related role

* Industry-relevant water hygiene qualifications or training

* Strong understanding of water compliance standards and legislation

* Good communication and organisational skills

* Full UK driving licence
