An exciting opportunity for a skilled Welder / Metal Fabricator to join a creative fabrication studio, working on bespoke metal projects using your MIG and TIG welding skills in a professional and collaborative environment.

SALARY: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum + Paid Overtime + Benefits

LOCATION: South East London (SE15)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday (plus paid overtime as required)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Welder / Metal Fabricator with proven experience of coded welding and high-quality metal fabrication.

As a Welder / Metal Fabricator you will work within a skilled team producing bespoke metalwork projects ranging from architectural structures to intricate finishing. You’ll contribute to all stages from preparation and cutting to welding, assembly and installation on site.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Welder / Metal Fabricator include:

• Fabricate Projects: Work as part of a team in the studio / workshop on a range of bespoke fabrication projects

• Install On Site: Assist with the safe and efficient installation of metalwork projects across London and the UK

• Interpret Drawings: Read and work from fabrication drawings accurately and efficiently

• Operate Equipment: Use machinery, equipment and tools confidently for all aspects of fabrication and welding

• Manage Materials: Prepare materials, cutting lists and ensure consumables are maintained

• Maintain Quality: Uphold high standards of safety, accuracy and finish in all work undertaken

• Support Team: Share skills and support junior team members to help them develop

• Continuous Improvement: Take a mindful approach to work, maximising efficiency and minimising waste

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

• Proven experience of welding and metal fabrication in a workshop or construction setting

• Experience with MIG and TIG welding techniques, including coded welding

• Strong understanding of fabrication drawings and technical specifications

• Competent in using fabrication tools and machinery

• Awareness of health and safety best practice in workshop and site environments

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Right to work in the UK without restrictions

DESIRABLE

• Current CSCS card or similar qualification

• Additional training such as First Aid, Fire Safety, PASMA or IPAF
