Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable MIG Welder to join our team in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality MIG welding on a range of metal components while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform MIG welding on mild steel and other metals to a high standard
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans
* Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning prior to welding
* Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
* Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely
* Carry out basic fabrication tasks when required
* Maintain a clean and organised working environment
* Follow all health and safety procedures
Requirements
* Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings
* Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong awareness of workplace health and safety
* Relevant welding qualifications or certifications preferred but not essential
Working Hours
* Full-time position
* Monday to Friday
* Overtime may be available depending on workload
