Wood Machinist | Poole | £13.00 per hour

Working hours: Monday to Friday, open between 7am and 5pm

As a Wood Machinist, your responsibilities will include:

- Setting up, operating and carrying out basic maintenance on woodworking machinery including saws, planers, spindle moulders and routers

- Safely handling timber and board materials, including operating forklifts and lifting equipment

- Reading and interpreting technical drawings to produce accurate, high‑quality components

- Measuring, cutting, shaping and profiling wood to tight tolerances

- Inspecting completed parts and making adjustments to achieve required finishes

- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

As a Wood Machinist, your experience will include:

- Proficiency operating woodworking machinery, hand tools and measuring equipment

- Strong accuracy and attention to detail when working to precise tolerances

- Good mathematical capability and confidence using computers

- Problem‑solving skills to quickly correct issues and minimise waste

- Physical stamina for a role involving standing and manual handling
