If you're an experienced production professional who thrives on structure, takes pride in getting things right, and wants a role where your impact is visible and measurable, this could be the step up you've been looking for. This is a hands-on management position in a well-established structural fabrication business, where your ability to drive efficiency and lead people will make a real difference to how the operation runs.

As a Works Manager, you will benefit from:

Competitive salary up to £50,000

A stable, established employer in the structural steel sector

A varied role spanning production management, data reporting, and team leadership

Clear scope to identify improvements and make them happen

Supportive senior management and a collaborative production team

As a Works Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing day-to-day yard, processing, and materials handling operations to keep the production plan on track

Extracting and manipulating data from StruMIS and Excel to produce accurate performance and cost reports

Managing time and attendance records and allocating hours correctly across work activities

Logging the cost and time impact of E-forms, NCRs, variations, and drawing revisions for commercial recovery

Supervising the flow of materials into the factory and coordinating sub-contract suppliers and fabricators

Writing and delivering toolbox talks and ensuring H&S documentation is completed and uploaded to SharePoint

As a Works Manager, your experience will include:

A background in a production or fabrication environment, ideally from the shop floor

Strong IT skills including MS Office, Excel, and ideally StruMIS or similar production management software

Experience managing teams and driving efficient workflows against a production plan

The ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings

Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise across departments

IOSH or equivalent Health and Safety qualification (desirable)
