Workshop Operative / Yard Assistant who has some previous experience working within either a Warehouse or Workshop environment with a Forklift Truck Licence is required for a fast-growing engineering company.
SALARY: £12.50 - £14.00 per Hour (depending on experience) + Benefits
LOCATION: Royston, Hertfordshire
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

Due to the company’s growth we have a fantastic new job opportunity for a hardworking and reliable Workshop Operative / Yard Assistant who has some previous experience working within either a Warehouse or Workshop environment with a Forklift Truck Licence.
Working as the Workshop Operative / Yard Assistant you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the workshop and yard, supporting the fabrication team, store person, and management.
As the Workshop Operative / Yard Assistant you will be a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. You should be physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks and possess a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy when dealing with stock and materials. A commitment to health and safety within the workplace is also crucial.

DUTIES
Your duties as a Workshop Operative / Yard Assistant include:
• Managing waste and recycling, including loading materials
• Operating the Forklift
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Handling goods inwards and outwards processes
• Packing project materials, fittings, fixtures, and equipment ready for the site teams
• Assisting with stock control
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Must have previous experience working within a warehouse / workshop environment
• Must be reliable with good time keeping skills
• Have a strong attention to detail with the ability to use your own initiative
• Will need a Forklift truck licence
