Position: Workshop Powered Access Engineer

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000

Shifts: Monday to Friday

Overtime: Paid at 1.5 & 2.0

About Your New Company:

My client, a national provider of engineering services to the Powered Access and Plant industry. They have extensive knowledge working with many different manufacturers and covering anything from MEWPS, van mounts, forklifts and all other working platforms. Due to their continued success in the industry, they are looking for a skilled Engineer to join their Workshop in Kent. CAP Engineers are desirable but if you come from a heavy plant background with passion for learning, we want to hear from you.

About Your New Workshop Powered Access Engineer Role:

As a Workshop Powered Access Engineer, you will be based from the company workshop carrying out the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of powered access equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Routine maintenance, servicing, and repair of powered access equipment within the workshop

- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults

- PDI inspection work on new and returned hire equipment

- Completing LOLER inspections

- Ensuring all equipment is safe, compliant, and ready for hire

What you’ll Need to Succeed for This Workshop Powered Access Engineer Role:

- Previous experience working on powered access/plant equipment

- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

- A passion for delivering high standards of service

- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

- IPAF & CAP licence (desireable)

- NVQ qualification or equivalent

- Full UK Driving Licence

- Previous experience as a workshop powered access or plant engineer is essential
