The Role
As the Year 1 Teacher, you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the national curriculum
* Deliver high-quality phonics and early reading sessions
* Maintain clear, consistent routines and positive behaviour management
* Create a nurturing, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment
* Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
* Work closely with KS1 colleagues, support staff, and senior leaders
* Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
* Strong understanding of phonics and early reading
* High expectations for pupil progress, behaviour, and engagement
