We're working in partnership with a warm and welcoming primary school in Selby to recruit an enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join their supportive team from September 2025.

The Role:

As the Year 5 Class Teacher, you will:

* Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that support all pupils to make good progress.

* Take full responsibility for planning, teaching, and assessment in line with the National Curriculum.

* Maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.

* Use formative and summative assessment effectively to inform your teaching.

* Provide clear, constructive feedback to pupils and parents.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan cross-curricular activities and ensure consistency across the year group.

* Attend staff meetings, training, and parent consultations as required.

* Uphold the school's values and contribute to its wider life, including assemblies, school trips, and events.

* Promote high standards of behaviour and maintain strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers.

What We're Looking For:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.

* Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience desirable but not essential).

* A strong understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and age-related expectations.

* A reflective practitioner with a passion for learning and development.

* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

* A team player who is committed to supporting the wider school community.
