Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate individual looking to support young people in a meaningful and rewarding role?
A supportive and inclusive specialist school in Reading is looking for a Youth Worker to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills to support students who may face social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, helping them to engage positively with education.
In this role, you will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, supporting them both in and out of the classroom. You'll play a key role in building trust, promoting positive behaviour, and helping students develop confidence and resilience.
As a Youth Worker, you will:
* Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
* Build strong, positive relationships with young people
* Help create a calm, structured, and supportive environment
* Deliver 1:1 and small group support sessions
* Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
The school offers a welcoming and collaborative environment, with a strong focus on student wellbeing and staff support. It is easily accessible within Reading and provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in an educational setting.
